Love Poems
A Painful Life
Always the sorrow,
Always the pain.
Don't try to be happy,
It's always in vain.
Why should life go on?
I may not ever know.
How could things turn out like this?
I try not to let it show.
I try hard to look so happy,
I try harder to look sane.
That way no one will know,
And I won't have to explain.
Some people truly love me,
But they are numbered few.
If I tried to count them,
I could only think of two.
This causes me great sorrow,
I'm starting to feel weak.
It's so hard to express myself,
I find it hard to speak.
I must learn to trust friendships,
I must learn to love myself.
All this must be done soon,
Before it's too late to ask for help.
