Up Poems For Him
The Breakup
As depression sets in
I find no joy in anything these days
My mind feels crowded but somehow empty
My body is filled with aches and pain
Making me feel older than I am
I feel like a zombie walking around in circles
Not having the slightest clue where I'm going
Friends offer me words of comfort and encougement
But it doesn't help the loniness I feel inside
The man I had leanrt to trust and love
Had walked out my door and out of my life
I still feel the sharp sting today
Will this pain ever go away?

Trying to block him out from my thoughts
I fail upon attempt after attempt
He haunts my dreams and thoughts
Day and night
I can't shut him out
Missing him in every way
I know he is gone for good
It saddens me to think about our times together
The breakup of friendship is always the hardest
This I'm well aware of
It hurts for a long time, but slowly the pain will
subside
When?
Is often asked
I don't know
